This is two different sets from this week on my hunting lease in Hickman County. In an earlier thread, I was talking about manipulating your animal subjects. I think I put bait on top of the camera in that case.

In this case, I just used the surroundings. I love logs because critters naturally cross them. (I also put scents on top of them to get animals up there). I also like branches and fallen trees for birds to land on and animals to climb on.

Darn cool pics!

#5 is awesome. And the possum is #@#$ ugly as they usually are, and the flying squirrel is cool.
 
Are those from the unit I built you?? Great pics...You really should enter the fox and bobcat laying on the log pics in the Chasingame.com contest. Might be a winner there. Really nice stuff....

Yes, the last nine pics. of the critters on the log came from your unit. The first ones came from the other unit you rehabbed for me and sent me back. I might try to enter them. Thanks.

I just assumed that little rat was a field mouse. Under closer scrutiny, I think you're right - flying squirrel. I've never actually seen one in real life.
