My mossberg 835 with a Jebs .650 choke put 271 pellets in a 10" circle at 40 yds with Longbeard #6's...Hope to try on a turkey at that distance

[emoji16] Seems extremely tight for an 835. I've got a .660 and I'm scared to shoot it at all through mine.
Would like to see your pattern picture.

Try the .660 with lb 4s you will be amazed......... Bud of mine put 186 in a 8" circle at 40yds. I couldn't believe it.

Wow that's crazy. I will try it out I just bought some 6's 3" for 17.99 a box

With a super tight pattern like that don't you think they'll be more of a challenge to hit at 15 or 20? I'm not much of a turkey hunter...just thinking out loud...in other words, just how big does a shot pattern need to be to hit a gobbler's bobbin' head? Federal's new 3rd Degree Heavyweights are supposed to address this issue but cost twice as much as LB's...
