Winter flocks

I really don't think Owls, Hawks or Eagles have as much impact on the Turkey population as do Coyotes or Hogs (eggs-just hatched poults).

Birds-of-prey and Foxes and Bobcats will get a few, but the Coyotes and Hogs will put a lot more stress on the Turkey population IMO.

Don't think I could make a blanket statement about any one factor.
And the impact of specific predators may vary from county to county, even greatly within a particular county --- can be very site specific.

For example, most of TN does not loose any turkeys to pigs.
Then in many areas, more may be lost to household dogs & housecats, rather than coyotes & other predators.
And ten years ago, I wouldn't have seen eagles being an issue at all (in TN), but now do.
Things change over time.

I've been seeing between 8-10 toms together on my place. However I have not seen the large flock of hens that I usually see, but I reckon they are around somewhere.

I did find a dead tom on the side of the highway right across from my property today. I pulled over and walked up to the remains and he had a spur about 1" long. Sucks, but it is part of having land on a major highway.
