Word on the street that the new OC hire at UT.....

Really, I don't know anymore than you do as to who it's going to be.

If it's Debord and he is a bust, it's on Butch, not me.

Here's a little tidbit you might like though since your all about Mcelwangs rings.

Debord did go 52-11 with Michigan and got a ring along the way. See how that works. See what I did there.

Congrats.... At least they could all huddle up on CBJ staff and look at the one N/C ring.... :poke:

Honestly, I think Butch is going to hire Debord as Co OC/offensive line coach, Make Azzani Co OC and hire a QB coach. Let Mahoney go or move him to another position.

Butch realizes his biggest weakness this year was Oline. He also realizes that it would be another blow to let Azzani go and also probably not a great idea to throw him to the wolves as OC by himself. IMO Butch knows what he needs and will make adjustments accordingly.

I don't like the idea of hiring Debord and letting him run with it all by himself. According to his resume though he is an OL coach more than anything else. Could be just what TN OL needs.

I agree with this. It isn't a "wow" hire to me, but I won't whine about it.
