World Series

It's a tough spot for sure.

To make it worse, what if he wanted to pitch, but the coach and other "adults" realize that the risks are too high?

Then you have the fans thrown in.
Who cares what the fans think. If he asked to pitch I would consult with the trainer and also his parents.

I'll be shocked if he throws 1 pitch. He threw over 100 pitches and is on 2 days rest. There's no telling how many $Millions$ he has waiting on him. I don't think he risks an injury.
He threw 120 something pitches and threw 126 in his last super regional start as well. A lot of pitches on that arm

You see it every year in football so why not in baseball? Kids sit out bowl games to avoid the possibility of injury. I realize the World Series is different than a bowl game but some would argue it's not the championship series so it is the same. I know how competitive I was and still am so if me pitching meant the difference for my team give me the ball and let's go. Now like you I hope he doesn't pitch at all. šŸ˜‚

The LSU boards aren't mentioning his pitching at all against us..

Of course, they have already chalked us up as a W, so they are planning the rest of the games :D !
