You can load up on bull bluegill during the willow fly hatch with them. Good panfish lure.

i use rapala countdown baits in 1", 1/8oz. works very well on bluegill when they are hitting top water or just below the surface.

Looks a lot like the Bitzy Minnow.... they work great on bream...
