This is what turkey hunting is becoming.

Saw that in a catalog. I was confused.

Is that TWRA's new decoy to catch poachers?

I'd love to zip that thing across a field on public land. That would be entertaining as heck.

I see what they are going for here. This decoy is intended to lure in disabled gobblers. Nice little niche they carved out here...

Bad thing is they are probably selling the heck out of them. I thought deer hunting was bad but turkey hunting has caught up big time with them in the past couple of years with the amount of gimmicks on the market.

It's past the point of decoys needing to be illegal. The fact they're even legal is bad enough, as it's a crutch that allows hunters who normally wouldn't sniff a dead turkey the chance to kill their limit. But this stuff is just absurd.

People don't learn to turkey hunt anymore they buy Chinese plastic turds to give them the only chance they have to take a longbeard home. There's no hunt for most folks, other then staking out a decoy and waiting quietly to shoot whatever blunders by.

Only reason I'd like one would be to sneak it in the house then run it out at my wife when she walks in. Definitely don't see taking one out to hunt. Those gobblers in the video seemed confused also.

Hey now...just wait a minute guys ..we should be encouraging innovation and prosperity---> and less government regulation. Why should the government step in and ban decoys and all the other hunting gimmicks??? These companies are feeding their families with our money which means that they're not relying on hand outs :bash:  :fart:
