That's itthe damage comes from the charging system on the motor, particularly a stator/rectifier/regulator setup. the same reason they dont recommend using an AGM on some of the lower hp motors. if you dont know for sure, call the manufacturer.

I don't know about Suzuki but Yamaha says DO NOT use a lithium battery for startingHeck basically the same kind of boat I have but an xpress. You'll love the lithium batteries for usage time and weight. What kind of trolling motor you getting and what's the setup battery wise for your Livescope.
Yea, no way I'm using it on mine. I actually thought about disconnecting the ability for my motor to charge and just use the lithium to start without charging from the motor.
