your opinion on bows!

I shoot about a 10 year old High Country. I cant bring myself to go buy a new high dollar bow.

I kept on read'n just hope'n ther was another High Country fan on here, I've tried many brands since I started shoot'n back in the early 80s but after shoot'n a High Country it's like "oh yeah", my firts was a Safari that got bounced around in truck beds, dropped, shot constantly & never gave any trouble at all, none.

Matter of fact it was still in shoot'n shape when I gave it to my brother in law after I upgraded to a HC premier pro, the company has been threw some hard times but have resumed production & adding new new bows to the line up & from what I've read ther some serious shooters.

I'm hope'n I can buy a brand new bow this year (first brand new one in about 20 years) & you can bet its gonna be a High Country, and for me the big bonus is ther manufactured in Dulap Tenn. just down the mountain from me, just my way of supporting local business.

I shoot a Mathews SQ2. Bought it brand new in 2001 and it is a sweet shooting bow. I have owned hoyts, pse, and bear. But when I shot this bow I had to have it. I would love to upgrade to a Helim. I shot that the other day and it was flat out awesome. Also shot the Hoyt Spider and thought it was a heck of a bow as well. I plan on upgrading soon to a newer Mathews. Just trying to save enough money to do so.

I like elites. Been shooting them for a few years. Even started selling them this year. If anyone wants to try one feel free to give me a shout.

All my Bow hunting life I had shot a PSE, and seemed to like them, that was until I bought a Mathews Z7. My shooting seemed to improve, as did my confidence. I could honestly tell the diffrence in several things shooting the Mathews over the PSE bows. I will keep the Z7 for a many of seasons.

I will say that some of the past year models from several companies are better than many of the current models . The latest and greatest model isn't always the best bow for each individual shooter .
Shop around , shoot a lot , and pick the bow you like based on your needs and specs.

I've had my HCA Permier Pro Series for about 12 years or so. It's sooo quiet. It may not be the fastest bow out there, but it does the job. I can't imaging shooting anything else.

I have a Mathews prestige and I love it. I wish I had waited and gotten the DXT though. That thing felt even better in my hand than the Prestige does. I will shoot the one I have until I win the lottery. I can't justify buying a new one.

Shot an HCA in 09, a Bowtech in 2010, a Bear Carnage in 2011 and changed to an Elite Answer last spring...I will never own another brand of bow other than Elite.
