z7 extreme vs z7 mag

This is a tough one. I have the Z7 Mag and love it since it is very steady at full draw, but so is the Extreme. I like the Mag since it is a little faster and I think it is the most stable of the 2 shooting long distance, but the Mag has a longer ATA so not as maneuverable as the Extreme. The following is my opinion:

Z7 Extreme: Ultimate hunting bow
Z7 Magnum: Excellent hunting bow, very good target bow

I have the z7 extreme andd havent even shot it yet!! traded for it two weeks ago and havent even put any sights ,rest or anything on it!! Im anxious , but i having troublee deciding between the limbdriver pro v or a good ole' whisker biscuit! I been out of the game for 4 years but my last bow was a mathews lx with drop zone and TR matrix sight!!

Before you jump on a Limbdriver, which is an excellent rest, please take a look at the AAE Pro Drop. I had a Limbdriver and upgraded to the AAE Pro Drop and it is a much more solid rest that also works off the top limb. The AAE Pro Drop is micro adjustable as well which makes tuning a breeze, especially for long range shooting. If you are simply hunting and don't do much shooting the Whisker Biscuit will work fine. If you shoot a lot the Whisker Biscuit will ripple your fletching. Archery Den in Franklin has the AAE Pro Drop in stock if you are in Middle TN...otherwise you can order online.

How much is shooting is alot? I shot a biscuit for 2 years and never had a problem with my fletchings.

All depends on what type of vane you are using. Fusions don't crinkle at all for me.

100 arrows a week...unless fletching material has changed a whisker biscuit is going to wrinkle the vanes.

A lot of the materials have changed. I have 2 inch Fusion vanes with over 500 shots on them through a WB and although a bit discolored they are as straight as the day I put them on the shaft. My wife still uses the WB and her Fusions are the same way, no crinkling.

i shot a biscuit for 6 years with blazer vains and never had an issue with them wrinkling. then again i only shot from August-Jan most years at maybe 100 shots a week.

Wow this got off topic fast! LOL! I have the Z7 Mag and absolutely love it! I wanted the longer ATA of the Mag, speed wasn't an issue. The Extreme is a great bow, my buddy bought one and can flat out smoke the target. I just didn't like the sharp string angle at full draw. Either way you can't go wrong!

I used blazers and twisters through mine and never had a problem. I usually shoot every evening mon-fri. shooting 50-75 shots each night. I switched to a drop away this year but I would have no trouble going back to the biscuit.
