I know. You got me. I can't get over that loss back in 1996.

They've played one time. You make it sound like UT vs UF.

I don't hate the Vols. As I've said before, I want them to do well. Vols fans though are doing their level best to push me in the other direction. And this tired narrative that the SEC is dominant in football over everyone else and always has been is as historically inaccurate as UT's claim to 6 national championships. SEC had a good run for 10 years or so and this past bowl season and the CFP marks the turning of the cycle. As I also pointed out, if football up north was such a joke the B1G wouldn't have more players in the Super Bowl than the vaunted SEC.

Since the BCS started (we can agree NCs were a joke and mostly a popularity contest prior to that) the SEC is 9-8 vs. ALL OTHER CONFRENCES COMBINED. That's pretty dominant if you ask me.

Secondly, there are what 30 or 32 NFL teams? You pick 2 to illustrate your point?

Thirdly, you can't jump on the gator bandwagon every time someone points out that ohio state has NEVER EVER NEVER NEVER NEVER beaten Tennessee at football.

That's funny. A Vol fan calling a fan of another team obnoxious. I'm sure I am obnoxious. You're obnoxious. GOB is obnoxious. Bama fans are obnoxious. Notre Dame fans are obnoxious but not as obnoxious as Michigan fans. And so on. We are all fans, which is short for fanatic and makes us obnoxious to fanatics of other teams.

You make a good point. But, the reason I call you obnoxious is I never saw you on here til osu made the playoff. Now you are Mr. Sports Forum posting osu videos everyday that nobody watches. You are probably the one person on this forum that cares about ohio state and yankee football. Most of us couldn't possibly, even in our wildest dreams, care any less. :poke:

You do realize it is absolute comedy (or insanity) for an ohio state fan to put down the SEC when the buckeyes have played 12 bowl games against SEC opponents and won 2. 2, TWO, DOS. That means when osu plays an SEC team the SEC team wins over 83% of the time. This would be like Tennessee fans saying we own the gators after losing 10 in a row. It's insanity. :smash:

Vermin, Oh Vermin, please correct these Vols fans yet again. Thank you.

We all know the NCAA says the Vols have 2. We all know one of them is tarnished because they lost to Maryland in the bowl game. The Vols desperately lay claim to 4 more that were awarded to the Vols by some guys down at the barber shop. Unfortunately for the Vols, the real trophies are at 4 other schools. The Vols' claim of 6 is ridiculous, but the mother ship in Knoxville has brainwashed the faithful into believing it.

However, I do like Vol math. It gives Notre Dame 22 national championships instead of the 11 that Notre Dame actually claims.

Here's how ridiculous Vol math is. Using Vol math, Notre Dame can count the 2012 national championship even though we got killed by Alabama. Colley Matrix (whatever that is) awarded Notre Dame the 2012 national championship, so I guess I'll claim it for Notre Dame. Thanks, Vols.

On a related note, Bama's national championship math is equally ridiculous.

Come on SpurHunter. I haven't put down the SEC. I've only claimed the cycle is turning. I'm well aware of OSU's record against the SEC including 0-1 vs UT. I've even said that OSU played like a good SEC team against Oregon. A good SEC team like Alabama. :)

The cycle may well turn for two reasons: Osu is a good football team with a good coach and no competition. They don't have to worry about getting beat every Saturday like SEC teams. I apologize for calling you obnoxious. You are a lot more sensible than the gaytor and Updyke fans here. At least you can admit negative facts about your team instead of posting "10 in a row" or "roll tide" a million times a year.

I also apologize for my Confederate generals remark. That was obnoxious. I'm a Civil War buff and the bravery and gallantry of the Confederate Army was without equal in history.
