what can we learn from these results?

Probably not much as your survey sample size is not anywhere near big enough to determine much of anything pertaining to preference of turkey hunting style for TN. With that being said I don't know what your were trying to accomplish with this so you may have accomplished your goal from 64 responses on TNDEER.

Too many variables in modern turkey hunting to narrow it down to 4 categories. Some guys use a blind but detest bushwhacking. Some guys will use a hen decoy but detest fanning and strutting tom decoys.

I didn't answer because I'm mostly traditional, but if I'm hunting with someone and they want to stick out a hen decoy I'm not going to lose my mind. I'm not carrying them around with me though. I work for a living. I only get so many days to hunt. If it's raining on my off day I will absolutely pop up a ground blind to stay dry and comfortable. I don't enjoy burning up in a rain suit. If I know where he's going I will get in front of him and "call him in". Did I really call him in or bushwhack him? Who knows? The only legal means I am 110% against under any circumstances are fanning, strutting tom decoys, and limb lifting.

100% agree with Spur. Spur we still need to get in the woods together sometime. Maybe we will have a chance this spring.

I'd love to. I know you have a young family and commitments, but if you get a day or two to slip off shoot me a text. I'll be hunting a lot until I leave for Missouri April 27th.

I don't understand the issue some of you have with a person that just goes hunting and uses whatever legal technique he chooses to kill a turkey. If it's legal, he enjoys it, and doesn't exceed the bag limit what is the issue? Hunting is about enjoyment, always has been for me.

I don't understand what your qualifications are to disagree with the likes of Roost, Setterman, Andy and Mega. I am not in any way saying you are NOT qualified to say the things you've said but I do know what qualifications these fine men do. Their experience does not mean they are necessarily right but I would at least give them the benefit of the doubt. Adultery is legal and those that do it enjoy it and there's no bag limit...does that make it right? Those are not good arguments IMO.

Disagree? What am I disagreeing about? They hunt their way and I will hunt mine, I just disagree with anyone saying their way is the "best" way, that is opinion. Follow Twra bag limits and guidelines and enjoy the hunting experience, don't complicate things.

Be very careful using other species as comparisons, I was shot in the head with tss for that one

I'm just arguing that just because it feels good doesn't mean it's right. I believe it was Debbie Boone in the 70's that asked the question "how can it be wrong if it feels so right?". She denied right and wrong based on emotions.
