What gun/caliber is your GO-TO for hunting 2022

Mine - Remington 700 in .243 topped with a Vortex Diamondback 3-9x40 - not fancy, but she's my huntin buddy.

In the thick stuff or the mountains an iron sighted Win 94 in 30-30, in open land and clear-cuts, a Ruger in 6.5 creedmoor, and a Zeiss 3x9x40

Going to try and hunt more with my H&R Ultra Slug in 20 gauge this year. Accurate to 100-150 yards. That's plenty for where I hunt.

If I take any of mine to the woods, it'll be on me! Gonna take a smokeless ml, new bergara 25-06 and hopefully I'll have a new bergara 280ai in the next week or two.

I have confidence in both my savage 212 and Benelli SBE2 slug guns. I switch them out through the season. Once you find a sabot they like both guns can reach out to 150 yards easy.

My Savage 308 is my go to most of the time. In the woods I'll sit in a cedar thicket I'll use my model 94 30-30. May try the model 7 7mm-08 some this year. Old PSE during bow season. Glad to see you back Jon.
