You've got me searching. I usually see more colors in Warmouth but maybe that is what this is. The key difference I keep seeing between the Warmouth and the Rock Bass is the number of spines of the anal fin; Rock Bass with six and Warmouth with three.

Or maybe it is something else.

I catch a ton of warmouth this isn't one.

Had access to a farm pond when I was a kid that was grossly overpopulated with warmouth, they were way more yellow. You could catch them with a gold hook or a piece of chewed bubble gum.
Would often catch a few 3/4 pounders they were great eating. Wish I could get my hands on some live ones to put in a pond.
