So what's the the appropriate amount of time that needs to pass before we are allowed to discuss hunting and fishing in East Tn?First world problems. Majority upstream have no water and just regained power. Some lost everything including their lives. Its a disaster area right now
Probably not today for those of us that have folks in bad shape over there. So what's the the appropriate amount of time that needs to pass before we are allowed to discuss hunting and fishing in East Tn?
I've heard it is really muddy and trashy. I'd say up Flat Creek might be good. I'd say it's gonna take a long time for the trash to clear...Imagine the funky runoff too... Nasty stuffWhat will it look like in 2 weeks? I know its terrible right now but will it be fishable October 12-18?

I suppose 3.5 days in your book.So what's the the appropriate amount of time that needs to pass before we are allowed to discuss hunting and fishing in East Tn?
I've done and said alotta things in my life that I regret but asking a question on a"Fishing" message board damn sure ain't one of em. You have no idea why I might need that information.I suppose 3.5 days in your book.
I'd stay clear of Douglas and let people put their lives back together, mourn their dead, and figure things out. Thanks for the honest advice. I really wanted this information from someone actually there because we didn't want to come at all if we were going to be in the way of recovery efforts. We will probably just leave the boat at home and spend the week in Knoxville with our daughter.
All that debris is piling up in Loudon and Watts Bar, loudon looks similar at the moment and watts bar is getting there as wellYou could fish watts bar pretty easily from Knoxville.
What if he swung around to Spring City and fished Piney River? We had rain but didn't wash like they did. Crappie fishing may be pretty good in mid October. All that debris is piling up in Loudon and Watts Bar, loudon looks similar at the moment and watts bar is getting there as well

That I can't answer, it's outside my normal operating range. I saw watts bar this morning and it's rolling. Lots of debris and ridiculous amounts of currentWhat if he swung around to Spring City and fished Piney River? We had rain but didn't wash like they did.
