had to call in a favor to a buddy to slid out to one of his farms this morning. We went in blind as he had not been there this year but knew the farm. started getting light and still no gobbles so we headed to where he had seem them in years past. Finally heard a single hen so we eased in and set up in hopes a LB was with her.
Well ended up being about 10 hens, 5 jakes and 2 long beards. I could have shot the jakes a few times but for 20mins i just could not see the LB due to a bush in my way. Well I finally decided to just let him have it with a fighting purr and sure enough he finally stepped out to look for the noise. I was gonna let him get a big closer but due to how the season has gone thus far i thought 37yds was close enough lol.
