cool looking deer....not bad for a blount county deer

it is so hard for me to hold off on two year old like this...having not killed any scoring bucks. this deer is on 30 acres, 15 of which are wooded. what do you guys think I should do if he offers a shot the BOW SEASON? I will pass him with a gun/MZ

You decide that when/if he presents himself.. ;)

It's a personal choice. If you have never shot a deer that size and you'd be proud of him. I'd say go for it. Looks like two or three years and you'll have a respectable wall hanger on your 30 acres.

Not bad at all. It would be nice to let that deer walk in hopes of him growing into that dream TN buck you've always wanted, but in blount county with a 3 buck limit? Little chance he makes it imo. I hope whatever happens you get him.

I would If I hadn't never killed one that big before. I let a nice 10 pointer walk 3 times on 19 acres cause I couldn't get the shot I felt comfortable about so I never shot and open day of rifle season he got killed on attaching land about 300 yds away. It's hard to keep a deer on 30 acres and neighbors do hunt. It happen to myself. It was a really nice 10 pointer and I wanted that deer bad. I think the worse part was that I had hunted that deer for 2 years bow only and somebody else sits down with a rifle and kills him first morning. I learned a lot from that situation. JMO put him down on 30 acres. The rut will be here before we know it and he's going to wonder around IMO.
