I've been looking at new broadheads to switch to and there seems to be alot of good ones out there..I've really been looking at the NAP 2blade blood runners and the slick tricks and also been eyeing up the Magnus line of broadheads and noticed that alot of their heads are 2 blades, like the ones Uncle Ted uses..He seems to kill alright with them..What im asking is,is 2 blades enough for a good blood trail? I know Rages are 2 blades, and alot of dead deer because of them..I really like the NAP 2 blade blood runners, huge cutting diamiter and still will cut even if it doesn't deploy..

Another question on the 2 blade blood runner, isn't it going to take alot more energy to push the 2 1/16th cut through an animal? How do you know if you have enough energy to get a pass through?Just trying to wiegh all my options here,I want something thats gonna get the job done..The 2 1/16th cut is was really impresses me..

I use the Magnus Stingers with the bleeders and they work just fine. I was using the Rage and they werent durable enough for my liking so I went to Magnus and ill shoot them again this year.

I have never heard anything bad about Magnus or Slick Tricks.
I personally shoot 100 gr. 1" standard Slick Tricks and love them. Fly like field points and are very durable.

The Magnus always gets real high rating and that's the same design a lot of traditional shooterts use wiyh sucess.

The second question is the same one that keeps me from going 100% mechanical heads. Seems like the guys on TV even have trouble with pass-thrus using big mechanicals, but then again it's probably more about the amount of cut than getting a pass-thru.JMHO

I really like how Muzzy MX-3 shoots(like a fieldtip for me) and may try Wasp Boss Bullet both have real high reviews at Cabelas

i swapped to spitfires midseason last year.

I was having issues with rages opening up mid flight and dumping my arrow into the ground.

I went ahead and ordered the Slick trick 100gr mags..I hear too much good stuff about them to not give em a try.

I have shot 2 blade 85 gr NAP Spitfires for about 5 years and like them a lot. NAP discontinued the 2 blade 3 years ago so I tried the 3 blade but for some reason I didn't care for them. Maybe I'm just resistant to change.

I found some 2 bladers on Ebay today 3 pack, $34+ shipping, hate to spend the money but think I will get me 8 or 10 packs of them.

I shot Rage last year, and had good luck with them. But the blades bend WAY too easy for me.

I like the Bloodrunner, which now comes in a BLACKED OUT 2 BLADE!

I'm a Muzzy 100 gr 3 blade man myself. I've seen the tv shows with the cut that the rage makes but I hit a doe quartering to me last year and watched as she ran off, her intestines were coming out of the exit wound! She piled up 50 yds from my stand. Bottom line is its shot placement. Two blades are plenty.
