You guys are pretty hard on Phil.... I got to meet him a couple of time during team meeting and he's pretty much straight to the point. Nothing like giving a team talk and Phil puts you on the spot.... I been there...

Can't put too much stock in the recruiting rankings. Like that OSU so far is top 10, but not all will stay committed and several will flame out. How good are these coaches at developing the 2 and 3 stars (and the 4s and 5s)? For every Noah Spence you need 2-3 Michael Bennett's (or Russell Wilson's or Tom Brady's).

A couple weekends ago I was driving back to the motherland and heard an interview from an Athlon Sports guy who said the minute an OSU or Alabama or Oregon etc starts recruiting a player, the services will add a star so a heavily recruited player will have more stars simply because of that and not necessarily because of play on the field.

What you can put stock in is cost of attendance money. Recruiting is gonna change big time!! :|
