Was also blessed to see 4 more deer, among them this 7 pt directly in front of me after I shot the 8 pt.

Wife's deer from this morning. Trail cam pic from yesterday.

About 6:30 this morning, she flipped the can call over one time after a doe ran wide open through the gully behind her. The buck took a shortcut, cutting across the field in front of her, and he stopped long enough to give her a shot.

Her savage model 10 in 243, with my handloads 100 grain interlocks over imr4350. She said he ran maybe about 70 yards. He died in the field where I could drive right up to him, best kind.
