Saw 3 different bucks scent checking 13 does in an uncut bean field. Thus was the second biggest. His bigger buddy was able to escape without presenting a clean shot. He wasn't so lucky.

Buck cruising phase of the rut has begun. It's my favorite part of the rut cause bucks are expanding their area but hot does don't have them running around berserk.

Got this guy this morning. Don't laugh at my base layers. I did have camo bibs and parka on.

I saw this buck yesterday morning pushing around some other bucks and again in the afternoon in the same spot. I got a good wind this morning to make a move. He came out in the same spot again with a young buck and followed him across the field giving me a 115 yard shot. Always love getting a chance at an old bully.

Really nice buck, saw his twin couple days ago dogging a doe outside baxter.

It's been a 10 year goal and 3 seasons of trying to make it happen. I did miss a piebald I have shot before (too far forward and wounded him and felt like yugo for weeks for) so that was the start of my day. After that it was back to back meat on the ground.
