Been a great morning so far, it was a nice, crisp, cool morning, had a group of 5 does 8-30 yards from me (couldn't seal the deal, too many eyes), seen a bunch of other does off in the distance, and best part of all… I found XL Christmas tree cakes at the nearby 7/11 on the way to the hunting land! The Lord is good!

First sit of the year in Wayne Co. New lease and still working out some kinks. Barely got in the stand this morning and had a curious 4 pt come right to me. It's amazing how close their ears can get them to a disturbance. Anyway, just happy to be up a tree.

Great morning. All was quiet until 8:25 when I seen a small buck and doe. Then a little after 9 deer started showing up from everywhere.

He's got you pegged ! I'd be shooting that dude ....or shoot at him I totally understand letting him pass brother ..you have a good chance he'll be back around when he's mature . Kudos to you brother !!

Midday update is boring. Lol. Just ate lunch.

Heard deer above me and below me before daylight. Had a deer come by me about 40 yds right at shooting light but couldn't see it. Then had a small buck come under me not much later. Thought it was on but haven't seen a deer since. Not helping matters that I still have a weird cough after being sick 3 wks ago. Been eating cough drops but still had to cough a few times.

My son has seen 5 and had one come above him before daylight. I'm actually shocked that we haven't seen more but just need to see one.

Would prefer the wind to be a different direction but sitting in a funnel that they can come from any direction.

Guess I'm here til dark or one of us shoots one.

He looked at me for a sec then went back to hitting scrapes and feeding in the food plot. Every buck I seen this morning came that close. Was a great morning.

This morning. I cannot figure out why the deer are not feeding on the clover plots, they are beautiful. I was covered up with turkey though. New property to me so I'm still working on learning their patterns.
