If it were not for Tua and 27 .... last years NC would have been one u could have hung ur hat in for sure . I could probably pull out the books and come up with more games where our kicker was liability to the team .

It's funny reading some of the comments elsewhere that ALABAMA is where kickers come to die . It sure seems that way . Pray

You actually made me look. It was two missed FGs in the 6 point loss to Ole Miss in 2014. Before that 2 missed (BEFORE the Kick-six) in the 2013 loss to Auburn, and 4 missed in the 3 point loss to LSU in 2011. So that's 3 games in the last seven seasons, which is a full third of Bama's total losses in that time frame.

Remember the blocked kick against the Vols and the blocker ran with his helmet off, that year we almost beat the champs! They changed the rule making penalty for taking off helmet, we should have won. Then we get beat by North Carolina when they have penalty in last seconds, stops clock they kick winning field goal, they change penalty to 10 second run off, we should have won. Then LSU they rush players on field at 1 yard line we dont have time to substatute, get penalty and lose,guess what they change so defense now has time to do the same, here is 3 games Vols lost which shouldnt, and we now have these rules changed and thats 3 losses we took for it

With 20/20 hindsight, yeah, but in the the other two cases they lost control of their own destiny, and had to wait on losses by other teams. Pretty significant at the time.
