Alabama vs Oklahoma

"My piece"

People will never know if you're talking about your gal or your sidearm.

"Yeah me and my piece steppin out for dinner. Hope nothin pops off?"
My piece lookin hot and ready for action tonight…

My piece sure has a hair trigger.

Man the other day my piece was in my pocket and about caused an accident.

I could keep goin…

It is getting easy to lose interest because of the NIL and transfer portal and the player attitudes that come with that. It's getting too much like the NFL. I'll watch the Chiefs because of an acquaintance with a player (girlfriend's son-in-law starts for them) but that's about it.

On another note, what term should old people use for "girlfriend"? Lady friend?
I agree. They seem to be taking away the things that make college football different. IMHO

Time will tell. How many players transfer and if they can keep their recruiting class will be telling. I hate to hate on Milroe because I like him and I like his attitude but I'm looking forward to having a new quarterback. Whoever it is.
I know it seems like it can't happen, but there have been coaches in the past that have consistently won with lesser talent…well a precious few. Bobby Knight rarely even recruited 4star much less 5star players and won year after year with 2 and 3 star players. I recently went back and watched some of those teams, and it was crazy how good those teams played against WAY better talent.

OU defense had it figured out for. Hats off to them for not just laying down because of their season record. The score doesn't exactly reflect how bad they COULD have beaten them. How many times did they get to the red zone? It was a bunch. Bama couldn't have stopped a toddler on a tricycle last night. The better team won last night for sure. For what it's worth...I personally don't mind losing to Oklahoma to end the playoff chase. Because I figure Auburn will play their best game of the year during the iron bowl...and I would be irate if it was the cow college to have eliminated them.

It's a very good possibility the Dores could end the Vols hopes of making the playoffs next week. They are a tough team and will show up ready.

@UCStandSitter should we tell him Saban retired or let him find out on his own? 🤣

I never said Alabama would be the same in the post Saban-era. I think I posted in August or September that Alabama would drop 2 or 3 games this year, but as I have posted many times, Alabama will be fine. They ain't going into the dumpster as some haters hope.

No one really knows, coaching hire and recruits make the difference

Trust us Vol fans on the whole dumpster fire thing. "We know the drill". Bamas match has already been lit.

I agree. If Bama loses next week that could change. It'll be interesting how this team responds. I also think keeping the key players from transferring and the recruits from flipping will tell us a lot about the state of the program.
I still think DeBoer was the best hire.

Nick Saban was the demise of the Vols (and a whole lot of other teams/especially in the SEC). I don't see any other coach ever being as dominant as he was. Bama may not win 11 or 12 regular season games every year, but I wouldn't bet against them on being in contention for the SEC championship for the foreseeable future. Alabama is going to be fine.
