Alewife...what are they, and how do you catch them?

The Rockfish bait I target eat baits that small Lot of guys fish them though. I'm more of a 1 to 3lb Trout and Herring guy myself

I have been catching them for most of the spring under the lights off the dock but now they seem to have migrated, any pointers for the warmer weather?

We've always had to go to cooler, deeper water where the oxygen levels are higher. Tough to keep them alive if you do manage to catch them as well.

I've heard the best way to catch an AL wife is to be her cousin.
