Anybody Got Ways to Enhance Practice?

I started at 20 yards like i always do.....then backed up to 30....i did this for about 2 weeks.....then graduated up to the 40 yard mark.....and have stayed there....this way i have to concentrate very strongly....i have shot well over 300 shots now and have missed the target only a few times.....i have been closer at 40 consistently and have now shot more this year than i had in the last 10 years combined. It has made a big difference in my overall consistency and confidence.
I have never used this approach in the 35+ years of archery ....but it is the way i will approach it from now on. now when i shoot at 20 i am easily shooting really tight groups. I have taken most of my 75+ bow kills at the 20to 30 yard range. I usually dont shoot at 40 unless the deer is perfectly calm and head down...this has worked well for me. :)
