Wasn't planning on hunting anyways this morning. But -4 with -22 wind chill when I woke up this morning would have kept me home anyways.

Anyone brave it this morning?

Yes it was cold!

Buddy of mine killed two does on a day like this a few years ago. He was about 80 years old, so i skinned and deboned them for him. Coldest i have ever been. They froze while I was working them up, i couldn't keep knife sharp.

I'm tagged out of bucks and need to kill some does but nit fighting this weather to do it. But since about 9 this morning my cameras have been going nuts. 7 cell cameras 5 on one farm 1 one 1 and 1 on another. And between them all I haven't went more than 20 minutes without a picture. One new big deer showed up around 10 this morning.

No way I wanted to be out this morning, but wound up being out for 5 hours starting at 7am anyways tending to cattle and then having to wrangle two that jumped the fence because some stray dogs ran them. So freaking irritating. Didn't have a chance to shoot the dogs unfortunately.

Oh, and I had to fix the fence too. Insult to injury.

My hat is off to anyone that willingly chose to be outside for fun today. It was brutal.

Was planning on hunting but had an emergency septic tank call so had to go dig it up and get the homeowners some relief. I'd have rather been hunting lol but I'm out of buck tags so I would have just been doe hunting.
