I crappie fished Old Hickory for 4 hours Saturday and never caught one. Every bush and brush pile I checked was empty except one area, and I couldn't get them to play ball.

Tha ks for the tip. That's generally what I was doing. Zero'd in Spencer and Cedar. Ran down around Avondale and found some fish but couldn't get them to bite.

I'm going to try to give it another shot Wednesday afternoon.

I'm the first to admit I'm not great at crappie fishing... it can be aggravating!

I'm probably going to go to Center Hill and chase the bass around next weekend instead.

On a positive note, there were no wake boarders and jet skis out!

Yeah most of the ramps are sketchy. Sandbar ramp is a good way to rip an axle off your trailer.
What boat are you fishing out of? Im in a 17' center console jon with a 50hp merc.

I finally got the boat wet today. Caught a 2lb drum. Couldn't find any bass or sauger. Still felt good to be out.

Fished yesterday. We estimate we caught upwards up 120 sauger. Only managed 13 keepers though. Was still a blast to catch that many however.
