Gonna buy arrows here soon. Can't decide, Eastons or Gold Tips. Shoot lower 60s in poundage. 29 inch draw length, 100 gr thunderheads for hunting, would like a lighter weight, faster flying arrow but not super light (still want good KE for penetration). Only want to shoot out to a max of 30 yards. Name something that's in the $100/dozen range, preferably less but I can pay a little more if they are really worth it. I know TnDeerGuy has recommended one or two for me, can't remember the names of them. Thanks
 
both good. durability wise gold tips. out of my bow at least I got more speed out of the eastons then the gold tips but either way cant go to wrong. personally I shoot carbon express but I shot tons and tons of arrows to find the ones I like that shoot good out of mine. my favorite eastons are the full metal jackets and the gold tips my favorite pro hunter's.
 
Outta those two brands...I'd shoot Easton. If you want a good decent arrow...the Easton Bloodlines are that. I know that's the only two Brands you mentioned...but my buddy bought some of these Black Eagle Arrows. Just to try out more less to see if they were any good. I have to say...I was very impressed with these. The Carnavore's are nice too...just too light for me.

Gold tip expedition hunters . You can get the 55-75's and they aren't bad in price . If you wanna fletch and build your own you can get them for around 60 bucks a dozen ..... Also you might wanna check into deer crossing archery arrows . I have been hearing good things about them and for $50 a dozen fletched and cut to your specified length , I would almost say they are worth a shot either way .
 
I shot Easton Bloodlines last year and they were great arrows for the money, but I went back to Gold Tip this year for their durability and reliability. You could about shoot any gold tip shaft and you will probably love them and won't break the bank.
 
I haven't shot gt in a few years. Had some bad luck out of a 6 pack I bought. I thinknit was just a bad pack though.

Selecting the proper spine in arrows is absolutely 100% the most important thing when selecting an arrow. What bow do you shoot and your draw weight. I shoot Gold Tips. The 5575 spine in Gold Tips is a 400 spine. The 7595 is a 340 spine. Today's bows shoot best with a 340 spine in the low 60s in draw weight with longer draw lengths. It's always better to shoot a stiff arrow spine vs a weak arrow spine.
 
I shoot a similar set up.60 lb 30in draw.
Easton Axis and their Axis n fused are what i use.
My last 5 kills have been complete passthroughs.
Small diamater arrows and sharpened Muzzys are hard to beat.

He is 100% correct on the spines posted above . Although you need to decide your exact length you are going to cut them to before selecting an arrow and spine . I was assuming you were going to cut them short enough that a 5575 would work . Once you make the arrows shorter the .400 spine changes .
Sort of like a long stick , the shorter you make it the harder it is to bend and break .

They are a quality arrow for the price and super tough.

As said above 29" draw length 28" arrow, assuming, up to about 64#-65# .400 or 5575 be great. I like the Bloodlines and Beaman ICS Hunters myself for a middle of the road priced arrow. Both are light but not super light and will still give you great penetration.
As Bootlegger mentioned about, take a look at Black Eagle arrows. I have been using them for several months now and love my Magnums for 3D and the Carnivores for the woods.

I got 18 new Carbon Express Mayhem Hunters...but going to order some Black Eagle Zombie 350's and try them out.

Also....another good middle priced arrow is the Carbon Express Crush.
 
Catman, go with the Easton Bloodlines in a 400 spine. For the money, you cannot beat them�good weight ratio, small diameter, hard hitting, tough as nails and fairly inexpensive.
 
Seems like Bloodlines might be taking a lead here. Will put all the suggestions together, research the arrows, and then see if the bow shop carries what I want. Thank you all for the suggestions.
 
x2 on the carbon impacts - shot same arrows for years and never had a problem except losing them after blowing through deer!!
 
Local archery shop doesn't carry bloodlines because they are factory crested. What's that mean? I will have to check BPS and see if they have them.
 
BPS has them. Its not really a crest, its more like a shrink-fletch wrap... they can be a pain if you have to refletch them.
