noticed the bear quota is a minimum of 50 people?? if anyone needs help filling that quota, let me know. myself and a few friends would be in to help fill the minimum person requirement

There's several groups here that hunt different mountains, all made up of family an friends. They easily get 50 on a hunt.
Isn't the idea that you just get a certain are to yourself (well, you and the 50 other people), but the statewide bag limit of one per person still technically applies?
Yeah that's pretty interesting. Maybe next year could hook up with a group. Would like to see what it's all about. What's the success rate on something like that
I'm not entirely sure, your best bet would be to get in with some houndsman and go with them. These hunts are just on specific areas in the national forest. There will be regular hunting in other areas of the national forest.

Most bear hunters don't like strangers.
I could see that, but everyone is a stranger at some point

After Operation Smokey in the 80's I heard the comment made that bear hunters were going back to "the old way, only hunting with close kin."
