Texas gets their first real test of the season today...

If they win, STRONG #1

But if they lose, the legit best SEC West team will probably be the winner between LSU and Ole Miss.

So potentially 2 teams from the former east or former west could meet in the championship? Not best of east vs best of west like it used to be?

That is correct. It's supposed to be the two best teams, but I have no idea how they choose if teams have the same record, but didn't play each other.

Did a little research. Apparently that tiebreaker is made by comparing records against common opponents.

Strange game last night. Ole Miss appeared to be the better team, yet managed to lose.
