Just wondering if anyone had any idea about this.
I haven't called anywhere yet.

I have a 2014 Yamaha 25hp 4 stroke tiller handle engine on my boat.
I bought it brand new.
Wondering what kind of trade price I would be looking at for a new 40 hp tiller handle?

Ruger,I have no idea about trade in but look at Tohatsu motors before you drop the dime on a Yamaha. Yamahas are great and so are Tohatsus but they are less expensive. There is a place at Cookeville that sells them online.

That place recently moved to Dickson from Cookeville. Onlineoutboards.com I believe. An out of state purchase from them would save you tax $.

Yeah when I bought my Yamaha NOBODY around here could come within $1,500 of what I got mine for.
Even paying $140 shipping.
Hated to do that to the locals but that is alot of difference.

I have never tried to trade in just a motor but most dealers will tell you to sell it rather than trade it in. They will low ball you and then charge you list for the motor you are trading in on. Sell it yourself and get more money for it and then show up with cash and they will be willing to come off the price of the motor. Anderson Marine in Madison TN is a Yamaha dealer. I would give them a call and see what they could do for you.
