Field dressed correctly and weighed on certified scales, biggest in TN is 179 for a buck and 137 for a doe.
Live weight vs correctly field dressed, and actually weighed on certified scales vs good ol boy guessing, can and does vary greatly!!

Only weighed 1 buck. He was 167 and I'd put good money he was only 2.5. I've killed two others that dwarfed him in body. My deer this past year had a 23" neck on him and was at least 4.5 from NW Indiana.

Couple of questions Scott. Explain field dressed correctly (so I can see if I am missing something here) and what exactly do you mean by certified scales? (cotton scales, some sort of weigh station that is calibrated periodically, etc). Thanks in advance.

Here is the heaviest body buck I've take in TN. Field dressed 185 lbs., also he was 3.5 years old the jaw bone was pulled and aged by a couple different people.

175 lb. field dressed 11 pt. late season , prolly weighed a tick more if it had a been eariler in the season .
