Bow string and cable advice

I've stayed away from Sportsman's Choice because of the things I've heard. However, I decided to go into the guys shop and see for myself how I would be treated. I didn't have the first problem. In fact he treated me as good if not better than Eagles Wings ever did. Because of that I had him tune the bow up and add and new cable and string. I had zero problems with the guy. I also noticed that even while he was talking to me the people that walked in was greeted nicely.
 
Well, got my bow back from Gander Mtn. So far - so good. Jay was the fellow who set it up and he did a great job. Glad to get it back!

Ok, I didn't want to high jack the thread, but I'm going to say this. I wouldn't order a thing from this company. I have had my own bad experience with them and will never buy anything Wicked1 again. Also, they have been banned from archery talk. I am assuming because they kept tell people there strings were/would be shipped to them and they weren't. Along with promising tracking numbers and not giving them or, as in my case, giving the wrong one. Also, seems like the reason was always the USPS lost them. I know they don't hold up to the no questions asked part of their one year warranty. I sent mine back to see if they would hold up to fixing the serving. I did it mainly to show the guy his strings weren't to good to have serving separation. Which was the attitude I felt I got when I contacted him about it. I don't know if I'll get mine back or not but they will not be back on my bow.

This is news to me. I still order strings there and have never had an issue. Best strings I have ever shot and well put together. Still shoot them and ain't changing anytime soon.
 
I got a buddy that won't go back to H.A. at sportsman choice. I won't go anywhere else but there. H.A. will tell you like it is, He won't sugar coat it and he'll try and make you the best shooter you can be
 
I still stand behind wicked1. When a small company gets over run with orders and they are working their fingers to the bones and still charging half the price of other companies for a far superior product in my opinion, some people want to throw the brick at them. If you can't understand that then just order wc or zebras from Mexico. Wicked is a great string and has a ton of satisfied customers and they are always a pleasure to talk to on the phone. You have no worries with this company. My 2 cents
 
Big J. The string I ordered from them wasn't far superior to any factory string I have used, much less a custom one. If they were over run with orders they should have done what the others do, tell people there will be a wait. I don't care if you are over run with orders or what, if you tell someone their string will ship a certain time it needs to ship then. If not, it's the companies fault. They should not tell people one thing and do something else. Also, they shouldn't lie about giving people tracking numbers and stuff. This sure sounds like a company I would want to use.

Did you happen to get Jay's last name? We worked with him for a while yesterday. He was a pleasure to work with and very friendly!
