bread pudding

[WTM]

heres an easy and awesome breadpudding recipe.

6 slices bread
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup raisins (optional)
4 eggs
2 cups milk
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

preheat to 350.
pull apart bread into small pieces into an 8x8in glass baking dish.
melt butter and drizzle over bread, sprinkle raisins also over bread.
in a mixing bowl beat eggs with a wisk. add other ingredients and mix well with wisk.
pour mixture over bread making sure all bread is soaked, us a fork to lightly push bread into custard.
bake for 45 min, it is done when the custard springs back when touched.

no scalded milk or water bath, easy as pie. although i didnt take chances i did use a water bath. lol.

No alcohol? Just kidding. I take the raisins out and put choc chips in their place. My wife makes a killer bourbon sauce to go with bread pudding.

i saw a recipe for a bourbon sauce, sounds good. i imagine some kind of rum sauce would be killer. i didnt put raisins in mine either lol, but i did put a dab of vanilla ice cream on it though.

every time i make this i eat a belly full. day old hot dog buns work very well.

I make a goo goo cluster supreme bread pudding with pecans, milk chocolate and marshmallows.and French bread with a rum sauce made from sugar, eggs and butter.,you need cholesterol meds and insulin when you eat it.
