Well told a buddy of mine I was going to put him on his first bird this season if the almighty willing. Well what do ya know get one on his first time out. Had birds gobbling on roost from several directions, got set up on the closest ones. 2 hit the ground bout 80 yards out but moved off in another direction due to a few hens. Couldn't make it happen due to property lines, so we packed up at 8:30 to hit another farm. We roll up, go through the gate and spot a single strutter bout 350 yards out on back side of pasture. So we hopped out of the truck set up decoys and set up on a growed up fence line, hit the call and within 15mins had him a 12 yards spittin and drumming, buddy gave him a dirt nap!!! Good first bird if ya ask me. He is hooked now :super:
