Busy morning with plenty of target practice.

EPIC DAY!
Congrats to one of the best hunting stories in TNDEER history IMHO!

Also proved all that shooting doesn't bother the deer. BLAST AWAY!
Yea I've never been of the belief that the shooting (noise) runs deer out of the county. Unless they are within close sight and SEE YOU when the noise goes off then how in the world do they know where you're at in the woods. I tromp all over the woods at night checking my coon traps in front of cameras and I'll be there dispatching a few raccoons on camera and then no joke 15 minutes after I leave I'll have deer walking down the same trail. I do this with no flashlight and that may be the key to it cause they may hear me but they definitely can't see where or what I am.

From all of us to you, thank you for not letting those yotes get a pass! These predators are out of hand with all the gentrification, farms splitting to housing developments. We are 45 out from Nashville and predators take 1/2 my flock each year no matter how hard I try to protect them.

That's how I view it, too. That deer that just walked up was probably half a mile away 10 minutes ago. I don't think the noise I made 15 minutes ago meant anything to him if he even heard it.

This story reminds me of a McMillan episode where Tom's wife shot 4 pigs and one good deer from the same tree stand in about an hour. McMillan is on Outdoor Channel. It's a good show. You can get it on Amazon if you are so inclined.
