I have a Cuddeback Expert and two Bushnell Trophy Cams...which have always worked really well for me! I went to check them today after a few weeks of being out and they didn't take any pics!!! I know they were all "on", new batteries, and enough corn and molasses to bring in at least a couple hundred per camera. I'm thinking that the heat might have had something to do with their lack of picture-taking but, over the past 5-6yrs of dealing with digital cameras, I've yet to see them just not take any pics. Just wondering if y'all have experienced anything similar?

I'd throw that cuddeback in the garbage. Worst mistake I ever made was spending that much money on a camera. Worked about one season and stopped working. Went thru the aggravating process of return and replacing. Then the new one tore up too. I got all moultries now had 2 of em for over 5 years, never once had a problem. Firm believer in moultrie!

Did you get anything? Such as blacked out, white out pics, anything?

Or just plain nothing as if the cameras wasnt on?

Something seems odd, hard to imagine all three would have done this unless you have changed something....did you change SD cards? Check the triggers counters, see if you had occurances, and the cams just didnt record or something?

Always make sure SD card in formatted. Like for instance make sure u see something like this 0000/2500 on your screen on trail camera when you turn it on. If card isn't formatted you will see 0000/0000. Had that happen before and didn't take a single pic. May have took em, just didn't have anywhere to put em.

I know it was not user error for all three cameras. I have had great luck with cuddlieback and think the world of my bushnell cams...All three had brand new batteries and empty cards...no need to format the SD cards with either of these cameras.

I have been thinking about trying out the M80 Black along with Primos' new mini-cam...

Did you have a card in it?
The cards are not full?
Something very wrong here LUCY.
If it were one cam I could wright it off as a blunder,
But 3? Major blunder

You have to turn them on and make sure the flash is on.

Cards were in...
Empty cards...
Bushnell cams don't flash and Cuddeback has the flash on all the time...

I'm am seriously thinking its the temperature as it was over 100 for days and days.

Did you use a different brand SD card in the cameras. I have found certain brands won't work with certain cameras I have. My bushnell trophy cams seem to have worked in this hot weather. Something odd there. Perhaps you got a bad set of batteries? Check them with volt meter. Too big a coincidence for all three of them not to work. Don't think it would be weather for all three of them, but you never know.

High temps can make the PIR sensors distance a little less than on cooler days but they should still pick up out to 40' or so. My units I build I get at least 52' os sensor distance even on 90 deg days. Out to 70' or so on cool days. Bushnell makes a decent cam so not sure of the problem there. As far as the Cuddeback, The problem is evident!!!! If I did not build cams the only commercial cam I would ever buy would be a Reconyx.

I love my bushnell, it's been the only commercial camera that has been working for me in the past 3yrs, but I have a back up and it's a
FIREMANJIM custom camera, Just bought it last year and so far I'm very inpressed. Looking to get some great pics this year>>>>>>>>

Thanks Jim
Steve
