can anyone tell me what is the largest 8 point taken in Tennessee

Any 8pt over 120" is big. When you're talking 140-150 or bigger they are world class frames lacking only in tine count and smaller c4 measurements.
Ditto! 150" clean 8 points usually have the "frame" and "wow factor" of a 170" 10 point. I'm a sucker for big frames, regardless of score. They look awesome on the wall!

My grandfather killed this one 10 or 12 years ago. Not a TN deer but a giant 8pt. Figured I'd share since we are posting deer pornography:

I told my son when he took that buck that he had just killed a world class deer. There are definitely some larger bucks that will make B&C but very few 8 points. It is a great story and I will share it at some point in next couple of years.

We were blessed and the rack is over in the corner of room behind my desk. I need to get it on the wall.

I have held my hands on one that I thought could be the biggest in the state. It was never entered in any books that I am aware of. Most hunters in TN will never kill a buck with base measurements that this deer had in his G2s. Certainly a good deer for argument for the people that want to see something like a water displacement scoring system.

I killed a decent eight in ' 87 and when I went to pick it up at the Taxidermist there was this giant eight point right beside mine . Mine deer was pushing 120's and it looked like a yearling next to this buck . Guy supposedly worked @ Bowater going home on hwy 163 seen the buck with a doe . Went home came back and shot him . The Taxidermist said he taped the buck and he was in the 150's . Mass all the way out the main beams and tines . Truly the biggest eight point I've ever seen in person .

I measured one about 10 or so years ago for a taxidermist buddy of mine. It scored 163" or 164" gross…….can't remember exact. He was mounting a 10pt the same year that scored within a few inches. The 8pt dwarfed the 10pt. It was absolutely huge. I used to have a picture of it mounted somewhere but don't know where it is.

I killed a 130 8 this year. My biggest to date. Had 12 inch 2s. I tagged out on him and was tickled to death. I decided to leave my cams out for my up and comers for 2024. Found out I've got a 140s 8 on cam regularly. I've never wanted a 3 buck limit so bad.
