can anyone tell me what is the largest 8 point taken in Tennessee

The biggest frame deer we have taken was that classic 6 point that my wife killed that just touched 130". I've killed 2 130" 8 points.

I recently got hold an 8 that just touched 160". If you have never held one, they are just bigger than you think. Takes a lot of bone to get to 150, much less 160". Pictures just can't do them justice.
You can't talk about a 130 6 pt and not post a pic

Deer had great mass that carried all the way through. Roughly 24 inch beans and 20+ inch inside. Can't remember exactly but made 130 by 1/8"

Don't 8 points still get the c4 measurement?

They do but it has to be taken half way between g3 and end of beam, which most usually is half as thick as between two tines like it would be on a 10pt. I've got one with nearly 4" c3 and drops to below 2" on c4. On a normal 10pt the c3 and c4 measurements are usually pretty similar.

Same here. Always wanted to kill a giant 8 but biggest I've gotten is in the 130's. Had one a couple years ago that I hunted hard and got real close on, actually saw him from stand about 50yds away, but with a bow through the woods I couldn't do it. He'd have busted 150, possibly 160. This is him whipping his head around and snort wheezing at me when I grunted at him.

Was that Ohio?

I've scored a few over 150" but they are rare indeed. Biggest was 157" 8.

Biggest I've ever seen was in Nebraska. On a ranch of about 30k acres and basically no hunting allowed. Him and a 135" 10 was chasing a doe. I tried to take pictures from truck through spotting scope but he wouldn't stop long enough. He was most likely in the mid 160s as a clean 8. If he had junk we couldn't see it. Almost looked fake he was so big. In guessing 27"-28" beams. All 4 tines 12"+ and his brows were 8" or so. He was so tall and heavy that we almost didn't notice he was 3" outside his ears on a 300# deer. So figure 20-22" inside.

Saw a double forked G2 12 that same morning riding around that was probably 170". He was probably a mile from the 8. Most mass I've ever seen on a deer.
