Trying to take my youngest this evening for some bank fishing. I'm not the best angler in middle Tennessee so I asking for a recommendation. If you could pick between Center Hill lake, Cordell Hull, or the Caney Fork which would you recommend for the best experience? Not looking for record size fish just hoping to have a little action. Thanks guys.

For bank fishing I would try below Center Hill (caney fork) or Cordell Hull dam. Both have good access and parking. Check the generation schedule, one or two generators are usually best. Wide open gates and generation usually is unfishable.

All the dams are probably still running wide open to get rid of last weekend's rain but you can still probably find a fish or 2 on a current seam. Fish the slack on the edge of the current. I know you said cats but right now is prime time for white bass too. They aren't my favorite to eat but fight great and usually run in bunches.
