Chicamauga lake

I haven't fished lake Chicamauga in 15 yrs. Thinking about head'n that way this weekend. What area of the lake/boat ramp would you put in at to fish for Bass? I'm coming from the Nashville area. Also, any tips on what they are biting on as far as artificial bait is appreciated. Thanks,

I'm not trying to discourage you... but you MIGHT want to pick another weekend.

On Saturday there will be more than 300 high school kids fishing out of Chester Frost Park... there is a 200-boat tournament out of Dayton and there is predicted to be another 60-plus boats out of Harrison Bay in two tournaments.

That said... lots of fish being caught on jerkbaits and lipless cranks. Fish pushing up surprisingly shallow chasing bait... especially early.
