Since this thread is so long and old, I have no clue if I have posted already or not, so I'll post just in case...

Summit...I have an Ol' Man but it is only good if you leave it in the tree so that you do not have to bring it back again...Bought a Summit two years ago and could not be happier. It's light, easy to use, safe and you can have it basic or fully loaded and very reasonably priced.

Have you looked into a cougar claw treestand. very affordable and has same innovative ideas as a summit. But going with original question a summit is great.

I have summit viper and love it. You can hunt all day and stay comfortable.

I tried several before settling on the Ol Man Grand Vision and now have 4 of them. Not the lightest stand but very comfortable for my all day hunts. I understand that they have started manufacturing them again.

The tree lounge is to heavy and loud, i have always used API my stand only weights 17 pounds

Love my Lone Wolf Alpha Sit & Climb. It's quiet, light, flat and sturdy. Replaced my heavy (older) Summit Viper...

Im glad most of you are confirming my interest in the the Summit Viper. Been looking at one for the past 8 months...will be deployment money put to good use.
