Thought AR pistols were stupid till i got to play with one at the range. Then i knew what my AR parts pile was going to turn into. This is my first complete piece together AR build and I'm liking it. Got it on paper and the gas adjusted today.
Now the long range bolt gun part of me is wanting to work up some loads to stretch it out and see what happens. This is probably going to take the place of my 16" barrel carbine as my favorite coyote blaster.

I have a dumb question

If you but a rifle stock on the end of it, will it be
legal, or is it like a shotgun needing 18" barrel?

It would be considered a short barreled rifle with a rifle stock on it which would be illegal without the NFA stamp.

rifle barrel magic number is 16".
I'm curious what kind of velocity this thing is getting. Maybe 2200ish with 55gr federal FMJ?
next time i get out maybe we can run it over a chronograph.
