I think I heard the vols had 3 freshman on the Oline vs bama.

You had berry what 3ed string LB? 0 career starts there playing with a walk on LB... against bama. I think 4 total LBs out for the game.

Best CB gone for the year.

Senior starting DT just kicked from team after going to hospital.

I heard on the call in show out of the 18 returning starters only 9 where able to play against bama or got hurt early while playing bama crazy.

Like the pic posted above 19 players hurt before or got hurt in that game they running on fumes....

I seem to recall a few years ago when UF had 27 players hurt, all I hear from TN fans was saying it is part of the game.

No doubt it is a part of the game. It is a factor also.

Exactly.

TN's depth, while better, just isn't to the point where it can compensate, especially at certain positions.

And on that note, they better pick it up before signing day, because it isn't looking very good to this point.

There is a little bit of difference though trey, Florida was using it to justify a 4-8 season and a loss to Georgia Southern..... :tu:

TN has lost in overtime to a #8 team and lost to the #1 team. By the way, I think probably still loses to AL with all their players there Saturday but do not think it would have been as much of a beat down. Who knows about the A&M game.

I am a TN fan but this game exposed Dobbs and the O line. We saw what a real running QB was with Hurts. Makes our running/passing game look more Conf. USA than SEC after that game. Wow

Guess you missed the UF and GA games, huh :D :pop: ?

Hurts is a great QB, but he also had his problems when he had guys in his face. Dobbs had guys in his face EVERY ... SINGLE ... PLAY  !

As a TN fan, I can say that I would prefer an off year or two before we play them again. They play a different game than we do unfortunately. They really showed us what a real running quarterback is and embarrassed ours in the process.

They have 5 stars at every position as bench warmers, we on the other hand were playing freshman that were 3rd 4th stringers

Yup :tu:

Even banged up lost another starting DT for the year & a HB for the year Vols will still finish strong......

it is part of the game no excuse to get stopped that bad...

I do agree big difference being banged up getting beat by 2 undefeated top 6 SEC teams & being banged up getting beat by Georgia Southern going 4-8.... But who cares all that is over with.

I think Vols get few guys back during the bye & win the next 5 while missing more then a few key pieces.

I guess we have forgot that UT has stumbled into a 5-2 record. UT should of lost to FBS Appy St. with a healthy team at the beginning of the year. There's a good chance that UT will drop another game this year. I Think ESPN gives UT a 34% chance to win out the rest of the season.

Hold on just a second............Everyone wanted to say tn was "celebrating moral victories" last year when they were satisfied to have lead the eventual NC in the final few minutes or carried another playoff team to overtime. Are you "celebrating a moral loss" because App St carried TN to OT but lost? Man this gets confusing...... :tu:

Works out either way. TN wins out at 10-2, im good.

TN finishes 5-7, well, Florida lost to a 5-7 team. :tu:

Vandy game at the end of the year the one im worried about.

Road game, will the injury issue get worse or better by then? Got 4 games to go though to get to them they will all be hard fought games like all the other games vols have played this year, but maybe tech. Vandy always play vols hard they gonna be wanting that game at home.

9-3 very possible.

And ESPN gives UF a 0% chance of winning out.
