I wouldn't have a problem with a man getting his dogs, but night after night, and everything they do between, is uncalled for. The tearing down of the fences. Lack of respect for the land owner. Their I can do whatever I want mentality. It's no wonder no one wants a coon hunter around.

No, its because he doesnt have collars or his dogs trained to return to him. Doesnt give you the right or excuse to trespass onto someone elses property because of poorly training your dogs. Don't go hunting if you have to go onto someone elses property thats pretty irresponsible and what ruins it for other coon hunters.

Coon hunters are putting their dogs out on a small parcel of land they have gained permission to hunt. I have no problems with legal hunting of any sort. The problem is the trespassing, dogs running everywhere, and the excuses for the dogs being where they don't belong. Also the late hours which they will run the dogs.
Our LGD gets worked up by the running dogs, flashlights, and trespassers and will bark the entire remainder of the night.(Doing its job keeping dogs and people out of our sheep) Our livestock also get antagonized by the nightime disruption. This will happen 2-5 nights a week, take a break, then back on again several nights in a row.
I have spoken with the neighbors who do NOT allow hunting and they have not given permission, but are reluctant to "waste their time" prosecuting.
Repeated calls to the TWRA poaching hotline have yielded ... Nothing. No call backs. No officers driving by. Nothing.
Is this a Sheriffs office issue only? A TWRA officer issue? How can I get relief from the trespassing, poaching, and all night activity on and around my property?

Well as a coon hunter myself n I deer hunt n turkey hunt as well ok idk u n u don't know me but I lived in east Tennessee nearly all my life n if I was a betting man I would say either u move in here from up north or u just have never been hunting before idk but I get that some ppl had problems with ppl stealing stuff but 9 times out 10 the one doing that is ur local meth head neighbor kid doin that yugo cause must coon hunter is only thing there try to do is get to there dogs they don't have two yugo AB wat u got or own ya coon hunting is an night thing n me myself I hate knocking on somebody door at 2 am wake them up to ask if I may go get my dogs times ppl are ok n fine ab then other ass hole cry babe ppl like ur self my bad an that the name calling but all the ppl that as an problem with dogs get on or around there places if we didn't coon hunt them lil devils would take over n be into everything in no time at all i would say u wouldn't like that if they was to get into ur trush can n u have to pick it up everyday n alot of times it late night where ever my dogs go to I won't even go knock on a door cause mostly the time by the time landowner knows that someone out there I've done killed the coon n half way bk to my truck before they could put shoes on to see wat up sorry but it is wat it is so just could trying to bring more understanding unless ppl taken stuff then put cam out n get them like that but really if the dogs barking is the deal then move to nears city to u n quit being an Richard head a. An lil coon hunter help u out by kill an few coons thanks for read DLR.......oh try to get a kid into hunting they might like n keep it goin on for the future kid

I understand the frustration, especially as a land owner, but I wish there were more coon hunters out there. Luckily, I know someone who hunts mine a couple of times a year. I don't like losing chicks and eggs either.
