Got 250 cows with calves and atleast that many coyotes that will go after them. I have been told that a farmer/ livestock producer has " no limitations to protecting his livestock" . My question is would no limitations include putting them down with a rifle at night and a particular night time optic?

Sounds like a question for your local officer. Tennessee did just approve night hunting with thermals/night vision and electronic callers last year. Only negative is it's with shotgun. You may be able to get some type of permit saying otherwise though. I think it opens on Jan 18. I help a buddy in Mississippi with his predator issues and it's some of the most fun hunting I've ever done.

From my very limited 1w experience night hunting last year... you don't need a rifle. The yoties were in our lap and easily killed with a shotgun when we called them in at night. Had a few that got to 20y of us before we could get on them.

Looking forward to a much extended night hunting season in 2025.

Interesting.
I was thinking after dark changed things as far as calling.
