Crappie from the bank

Wanted to find a place near Knoxville that would be worth a trip for some bank crappie fishing.
Have heard below the dam at Melton Hill dam.
Any other suggestions within an hour of Knoxville?

It will be tough to catch crappie from the bank with any regularity at this time of the year, I have caught them on the lock side of melton hill dam when they are generating. I quit fishing it years ago pretty much when they closed Bethal valley so the short cut cost me 20 more miles or it seemed like it lol
