2) 1000% yes if I know I hit him. If I wound an animal it becomes my white whale until I've killed it, it kills me, or there is absolutely zero hope I can track it down.

By the way, one of the most dangerous situations is when two hunters are on opposite sides of a small rise or hill, and one of them shoots.

That's why whenever I hunt with another person we stay together..
I'll usually call and let them shoot but we are always together..
I've learned this the hard way.,.
