The prions can survive extreme high temps. Think it takes an incinerator to reach high enough temperature to destroy them.

I've read 1000 degrees.
Why not educate those that truly don't know?
Folks worried should join sites out west ask those that have lived it for going on 2 decades.
I'd like to know how many positive deer were consumed before there was ever a positive test. It's not like there was that many positives in the positives that it hadn't been here for some time. I have family in cwd areas in Wisconsin. I'm not even sure they have extensive testing nowadays but their populations sure ain't hurting.
I hate to say it but this is beginning to look a lot like Covid?!! Kill healthy looking deer and waste them just too kill them? Maybe a cwd resistance is building then you shut it down?
Now I'll be honest, I probably wouldn't jerky one but I'll throw it on the smoker or make chili out of it.
He said a fire would not kill it, fella I responded to… he could have been bovine scattering me

I don't know the science but, they ran medical instruments through a kiln three times and it still didn't neutralize the prions. Since they aren't living organisms, they aren't neutralized through normal means that we've normally expect.
So prions are completely impossible to stop and everyone should do what?

HFTH holds the meat until it's tested and then dispose of it if it comes back positive. I've been told this by the processors. The processors get paid regardless, so HFTH have to pay. That's why I've chosen to donate deer meat as well as $ to this worthy cause.

I have a serious question here. How many are killing positive deer and throwing it out but when it comes to the covid shot they say those of us that have had it are sheep ?
Im not trying to belittle here or hijack a thread its a serious question.
If and when i do kill a positive deer i will never know it and continue to eat what i kill .
That said im not going to belittle anyone for what they do with there kill as long as they are happy with their decisions and can live with that decision .
We all really need to take a breath and get a long amd do what we love. Live like everyday is our last day on earth .

I will do it!! I will even eat it with a smile! Is the meat deboned? Is the OP or anybody coming east any time soon that would want to make this happen?
